Artist Statement – Sue Heale
My inspiration comes from the vibrant colours, textures and structures of the natural environment.
I paint predominantly with acrylic paint and use a variety of pastes and gels. At some point within the process I will use epoxy resin. Sometimes sandwiching paint between layers of resin or mixing paint with it for different effects. I particularly like the tactile nature of paint and gels, when contrasted with the highly reflective resin surface.
