Artist Statement

Sarah Poynter’s work is very process led with most pieces going through a series of processes before arriving at its final point. Her work combines paint, photography, drawing and print with found images and textures to create abstract landscape based images. She is interested in possibilities, journeys, and experience, in the lines we follow and the ones we leave behind; our tracings. This year her work will also include images from a recent 18 month journey by bicycle from Deadhorse, Alaska to Ushuaia, Argentina as well as a number of hand turned woodwork pieces.

Ellin Belton draws upon the historic origins of paper marbling. Her work is inspired by her work as a Conservator in Britains Country Houses. This modern twist on an ancient craft creates mesmeric, bold, colourful and freeform works on paper.
