Lesley Nason - 121

Location: Sudbury / Genre: Ceramic Art and Vessels

Artist Statement

Lesley uses porcelain clay to create contemporary wall art, decorative vessels and jewellery inspired by the Derbyshire countryside. The images are firstly drawn freehand into the soft clay with texture, then resist, oxide and crackle glaze are applied to capture the beauty of the landscape.

Together with her potter husband Terry she runs and makes her work at hotHouse ceramic studio and gallery in Sudbury Shopping Courtyard, Sudbury Village DE6 5EB. Here visitors can watch work being made and view and purchase an extensive range of ceramics, along with work from a new featured guest artist every month.

hotHouse ceramics is open Tuesday to Sunday 10am - 4pm year round and open on Bank Holiday Mondays. Sudbury Shopping Courtyard also has a cafe and various other interesting independant retail galleries and boutiques.
