Kate Aimson is a textile artist. She works in patchwork because it is a traditional folk art and an ideal way to express ideas about multiplicity, plurality and intricacy. Her artwork is expressing her belief that there is not one truth; that many things can be true at the same time; and that we constantly have many different views on the world. She makes pictures in patchwork that evoke the past, tradition, the countryside and fairy tales.
