This is a joint exhibition showcasing work by Charlie Collins and Kate Aimson, artists inspired by the natural world and the colours of nature.
Charlie Collins is a freelance wildlife illustrator. She works in a range of mediums, predominantly watercolour and pen, in either monochrome or a pastel colour palette. Her work is inspired by wildlife and the people around her with a focus on mindfulness and awareness.
Kate Aimson is a textile artist. She works in patchwork because it is a traditional folk art and an ideal way to express ideas about multiplicity, plurality and intricacy. Her artwork is expressing her belief that there is not one truth; that many things can be true at the same time; and that we constantly have many different views on the world. She makes pictures in patchwork that evoke the past, tradition, the countryside and fairy tales.
