Artist Statement
I love colours and textures, I cant go for a walk on a beach without coming back with pockets full of pebbles and shells and other 'detritus' as my husband calls it. I am drawn to textile art techniques such as free motion embroidery, heat manipulation, soluble fabrics etc to create interesting textures. I have more recently been exploring the collagraph method of printmaking as this too allows me to produce two dimensional art which also has a rich surface texture. I love playing in my 'Mothershed' at the bottom of the garden where I also run small personalised workshops
